Power Generation Korea (abbreviation of Power Generation Korea: PGK) is the most influential development exhibition in Korean industry.
Power Generation Korea is co-organized by the Korea Electric Power Manufacturing Association (KOEMA), the Korea Electric Power Company (KEPCO), and the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Organization (KOTRA). The total area of PGK’s latest exhibition in Seoul, South Korea, was 11,800 square meters, with 220 participating companies from China, Japan, Dubai, Turkey, Brazil, Spain, South Africa, Russia, Germany, India, Indonesia, and other countries. South Korea is the world’s 10th largest energy consumer and the world’s 5th largest oil importer. It has limited domestic energy resources and relies heavily on imported oil, natural gas, and coal, with an energy import dependency rate of 96.7%. In recent years, in order to address the problem of soaring oil prices and global climate change, the Korean government’s energy development strategy has increased efforts to conserve energy and reduce personnel, establish an energy-saving society, develop nuclear power, develop new energy and open up energy, and diversify energy supply. “Energy diplomacy”, promote the diversification of energy imports, and ensure stable energy supply abroad.
The Power Generation Korea exhibition in Seoul also includes 1:1 export consultations and technical purchasing consultations for overseas buyers, purchasing consultations for future technology power equipment and new technology development institutions overseas, as well as new product technology demonstrations for participants in the Development Industry Growth Conference and industry association meetings.
