The 2025 Solar Energy Expo (Poland Solar Energy Expo) is scheduled to be held from January 14 to 16 at the PTAK International Exhibition Center in Warsaw, Poland. It is hosted by Ptak Warsaw Expo, a widely influential solar energy and photovoltaic energy storage exhibition in Poland.
The exhibition mainly covers solar photovoltaic products, solar thermal heating equipment, solar building and engineering applications, other solar application products, technology for obtaining electricity and heat from renewable resources, electric vehicles and other sectors.
At the Solar Energy Expo in Poland in 2024, the number of visitors from Poland reached 12,965, and the number of visitors from overseas reached 2,800, which was a significant increase compared to the data in 2023. In 2023, 115 exhibitors participated in the exhibition.
market background
In 2022, Poland’s installed photovoltaic capacity has reached 4.9GW, making it the third largest solar photovoltaic market in Europe. Poland, Europe’s largest hard coal producer, is striving to achieve decarbonization through renewable energy, which is crucial to the climate change mitigation agenda. According to SolarPower Europe’s “EU Solar Market Outlook Report 2022-2026”, the Polish market will add 21.8GW of solar energy in the next four years, reaching 29.8GW in a high-level scenario. The Polish National Energy Regulatory Authority (URE) also expects that by 2030, renewable energy capacity will reach 50GW, half of which will be provided by solar energy.
Poland is seen as a stable PV market. In order to develop large-scale solar energy, the Polish government promotes the development of renewable energy, planning to reach 10.2GW of installed PV capacity by 2030 and 20.2GW by 2040. The auction system supports industrial, commercial and large-scale power station projects, allows PV system owners to sell excess electricity, promotes rooftop PV incentives and corporate net metering policies, and promotes significant growth in solar power generation.
