Presentation of the exhibition
The Vietnam Waste and Recycling Expo is being held in Vietnam for the first time, aiming to bring modern waste treatment and recycling technologies and solutions to domestic businesses, thus contributing to improving environmental issues in Vietnam and the world in the direction of a circular economy. The event provides an ideal venue for Vietnamese businesses to meet and network, allowing them to explore breakthroughs and new perspectives with the world’s leading solution providers in waste collection, recycling, resource recovery and sustainability.
Why is it the first choice to participate in Vietnam International Environmental Protection and Solid Waste Treatment Exhibition?
Waste & Recycling Expo Vietnam: Vietnam’s most influential environmental protection event
The Vietnam International Environmental Protection and Solid Waste Treatment Exhibition, the largest and most influential event on water treatment and water resources management in Vietnam, is held here every year. This exhibition has not only attracted wide attention in Vietnam, but also become an important communication platform in the global fields of water treatment and resource management.
Professional excellence:As a Vietnamese leader in environmental protection and water treatment, the exhibition brings together the world’s best technologies, products and solutions in waste management, collection, transportation, classification, treatment and recycling. It mainly targets local public transport and municipal authorities, committed to promoting their sustainable development and contributing to achieving the goal of net zero carbon emissions. Exhibitors come from Vietnam, China, India, the European Union and other countries, and their professionalism and scale occupy a leading position in the industry.
Extraordinary appeal:The exhibition covers the latest water treatment equipment, technology, water resources management, sewage treatment, drainage equipment, water supply equipment, water quality testing, water treatment chemicals and other fields. It not only provides exhibitors and visitors with a platform to showcase the latest products and technologies, exchange industry information and experience, but also provides an excellent place to explore business opportunities, establish business contacts and partnerships. In addition, it is held in the same venue as the Vietnam Machine Tools and Metal Processing Exhibition, which has injected new vitality into the fields of environmental protection and water treatment.
The market potential is enormous:The current market value of Vietnam’s environmental protection industry has reached US$29 billion and is expected to reach US$43 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 8% by 2025. Among them, the solid waste treatment market has reached US$4.2 billion and is expected to continue to grow at an annual growth rate of more than 5% in the coming years. Given that more than 80% of Vietnam’s environmental technologies and equipment rely on imports, the need for advanced and updated solid waste treatment and water treatment technologies is particularly urgent. This provides huge market opportunities for enterprises in the fields of environmental protection and water treatment, and also provides a strong impetus for holding this exhibition.
In summary, Ho Chi Minh International Environmental Protection and Solid Waste Treatment Exhibition in Vietnam is not only a platform to showcase the latest technologies and products, but also an important force in promoting the development of environmental protection and water treatment industry in Vietnam and even the world. Participating in this event will bring unlimited business opportunities and broad development space to your company.
**Current situation and prospective analysis of national environmental water resources in Vietnam**
According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics of Vietnam, Vietnam’s population is expected to exceed 100 million by 2023, becoming the 15th country to enter the 100 million club after 14 countries, and the third country in Southeast Asia to reach this milestone in the country. In 2022, Vietnam’s GDP growth rate will reach 8.02%, which will not only refresh the fastest growth rate in 25 years, but also set a new growth record in the past 10 years. On the map of global economic growth, Vietnam’s rise is particularly striking, especially its booming industrial production industry. However, with the acceleration of industrialization, urbanization and overexploitation of resources, environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. Environmental governance and protection have become the focus of attention from all walks of life, and they also generate huge business opportunities.
The Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade stressed that the research, development and application of environmentally friendly products and technologies are in their infancy, and building a comprehensive environmentally friendly industrial system is an inevitable trend for long-term future development. At present, Vietnam’s demand for environmental protection technologies and equipment is mainly concentrated in 17 highly polluting and energy-consuming fields, such as industry, agriculture and service industries. The total investment is expected to reach 127 trillion VND (about 7 billion US dollars). According to the “In-depth Research and Analysis Report on Vietnam’s Wastewater Treatment Market from 2020 to 2024” released by the New Sijie Industrial Research Center, 283 industrial zones have been built and put into operation nationwide in Vietnam, with daily wastewater discharge exceeding 550,000 cubic meters. However, only 5.0% of industrial clusters are equipped with complete wastewater treatment systems. In addition, more than 50% of domestic production enterprises in Vietnam are high-risk pollution discharge enterprises. The volume of wastewater discharged from medical institutions and cities is also huge, but the treatment rate is generally low.
As a basic industry that supports industrial production and meets the living needs of residents, the development potential of the water industry is closely related to economic growth and population growth. The water industry mainly involves two major fields: production wastewater treatment and domestic wastewater treatment. Its application scope covers construction, agriculture, industry, medical care, catering, petrochemical, energy and other industries. With the rapid economic and social development and accelerated urbanization of Vietnam, the urban population continues to increase, and the demand for drinking water and efficient wastewater treatment has also increased. However, Vietnam still lags behind in the construction of wastewater treatment systems and has not yet achieved full national coverage. According to Asian media “Intellasia”, the tap water usage rate in urban and rural areas of Vietnam is only 60%, which further highlights the urgency and importance of developing the water industry.
Judging from Vietnam’s investment and policy support in the field of wastewater treatment, the Vietnamese government has fully recognized the importance of environmental protection and increased its investment in the environmental protection industry. From 2016 to 2020, Vietnam invested a total of $15 billion in urban wastewater treatment and $13.9 billion in industrial wastewater treatment, accounting for 52.5% of the total investment in environmental improvement and protection. In addition, Vietnam has also introduced a series of policies to support the development of science and technology and environmental protection industries, especially wastewater treatment and recycling projects, wastewater treatment equipment production projects, water treatment plants and the construction of domestic and industrial water distribution systems, and the aspect of drainage system construction, etc. However, due to the lack of advanced wastewater treatment technology in the country, Vietnam still needs to rely heavily on the technical support of foreign companies for the construction of wastewater treatment projects. It is worth noting that more and more Chinese companies have provided strong support to Vietnam through the EPC model and the establishment of wastewater treatment technology systems and sewage disposal equipment. It is expected that Vietnam’s demand for wastewater treatment technologies and equipment will continue to grow in the future.
