Vietnam International Maritime and Shipping Exhibition 2024 VIMOX

The Vietnam International Maritime and Shipping Exhibition (VIMOX) is the only professional event in Vietnam focusing on shipbuilding and maritime fields. It gathers many international shipbuilding companies, shipping companies and ship support industry giants to participate in the event. This exhibition aims to build an international platform for exchange and cooperation to promote the innovative development of the shipbuilding, shipping and offshore technology industry in Vietnam.

1. Vietnam has 3,260 kilometers of coastline in the Gulf of Tonkin, the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Its vast waters and abundant offshore oil and gas resources provide a good basis for maritime activities, making Vietnam an active participant in the world’s power. and shipbuilding industries. .
2. Vietnam is one of the largest shipbuilding countries in the world. The shipbuilding industry is one of the pillars of the Vietnamese government. According to Article 16.1, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Investment, the shipbuilding industry is one of the sectors eligible to benefit from Vietnam’s “investment incentives”. The Vietnamese government has high expectations for the shipbuilding industry and hopes to become a leading country in shipbuilding in this century.
3. The country has 20 major national shipyards, affiliated with the Ministries of Transport, Defense and Agriculture. Currently, these shipbuilding factories are divided into three main groups. There are two factories in the south with the capacity to build ships of 25,000 to 50,000 tons. There are four factories in central Vietnam, capable of building ships of 50 to 30,000 tons. There are three major shipyards in the north, including the Dutch Damen Song Cam, capable of building ships of 30 to 70,000 tons.
