ARLINGTON, VA. — Trifecta Collective LLC has acquired TRANSACT, a market-leading event in the payment processing industry, from the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA).
Trifecta Collective LLC was founded by trade show professionals Rick McConnell and Jennifer Hoff of GreyLion in 2021, and is committed to elevating its diverse portfolio of B2B events through forward-thinking success strategies. As a result, the company will partner with ETA to drive ingenuity and innovation at TRANSACT.
“I am thrilled to welcome TRANSACT to the Trifecta portfolio. This dynamic and influential show is a testament to ETA’s strategic efforts to build a strong and reputable brand within the fintech industry. We look forward to leveraging our partnership with ETA and our experience in the trade show industry to further propel TRANSACT’s success,” said Rick McConnell, CEO of Trifecta Collective.
ETA is a leading trade association and advocate for the payments and fintech industry. Its members span over 12 countries and process approximately $44 trillion annually in P2P purchases and payments worldwide.
“The partnership with Trifecta and GreyLion paves the way for elevating TRANSACT to unprecedented levels of quality and value. We are excited to collaborate and continue to grow the show for many years to come as we seek to better serve the payments and fintech industry and further position TRANSACT as a market-leading event,” said Jodie Kelley, CEO of ETA.

Investment bank Corporate Solutions helped facilitate the transaction, the third acquisition the company and Trifecta Collective LLC have completed together in the past two years, following the North American Trailer Dealer Association Trailer Show and the International Mass Timber Conference.
“This is another great acquisition for Trifecta Collective as the TRANSACT brand adds strength, scale and diversification to its existing multi-industry trade show portfolio. I am confident that together, Trifecta Collective and ETA will take the TRANSACT brand to new heights with their extensive experience, existing management team and the support of their financial partners,” said Nick Curci, Owner of Corporate Solutions and exclusive advisor to ETA throughout the transaction process of this acquisition.
TRANSACT showcases its new technologies and developments in payment processing at its exhibition stand and through a conference programme. Its ETA Star Awards recognise individuals and companies that have made their mark in the payments sector, and the EMPOW(H)ER programme highlights women leaders and includes a mentoring programme with a flexible engagement model to inspire others.
The 2024 edition of TRANSACT was held April 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas and saw over 250 exhibitors and over 3,000 attendees. The show will return to Mandalay Bay April 2-4, 2025, and will typically alternate between Las Vegas and Atlanta.
