CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) announced the Gold 100 Class of 2023representing the 100 biggest shows that took place in the United States last year.
This year, the 2023 Gold 100 class posted impressive numbers, totaling over 42 million net square feet, 100,357 exhibiting companies and over 3 million attendees. Based on an average rate of $38.78/sq. ft., the estimated value of exhibit space for Gold 100 shows is $1.6 billion.
The average NSF for all 2023 Gold 100 shows is 420,531, with an average of 1,004 exhibiting companies and over 30,000 attendees.
Of the 100 shows, 62 were run by associations, corporations or other non-profit organizations, while 38 were run by independent organizers. Twenty-nine of these shows also made the most recent TSE Fastest 50 list.
The list of Gold 100 shows includes: ICAST, CONEXPO-CON/AGG, InfoComm USA, IAAPA Expo, WasteExpo, ProMat, The NAMM Show, Equip Exposition, RSNA, JCK, Coverings and Cosmoprof North America.
“The 2023 TSE Gold 100 class delivered impressive double-digit growth in all three key metrics of net exhibit floor space (NSF), number of exhibiting companies and total attendance,” said Carri Jensen, TSE’s director of research. “In the history of the TSE Gold 100, its performance has been surpassed only by 2022, which saw outsized growth percentages in the immediate aftermath of the pandemic. Additionally, 34% of shows recorded their largest exhibit floor space ever in 2023. It’s encouraging to see the continued strength of these heavyweights even as the industry begins to stabilize, and we’re excited to celebrate their success.”
