CHICAGO — Call for leaders 2024, the Professional Association of Congress ManagementThe PCMA Annual Conference (PCMA Conference) will challenge attendees to “think bigger.” From January 7-10, 2024, PCMA Leaders Meeting 2024 will take place at the San Diego Convention Center.
The event will help brands, communities and organizations connect people with ideas and opportunities, and San Diego’s entrepreneurial spirit, cultural diversity, innovative research and wellness benefits will be highlighted.
Speakers include President Bill Clinton and 67th Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who will open the second day of the conference, will speak with event host Holly Ransom.during the morning general session, exploring leadership, international relations, the global economy and the importance of meetings and events for the free exchange of ideas and democracy.

Other speakers include: Mayim Bialik, host of Jeopardy!, neuroscientist, actress, and acclaimed author. She will speak about mental health in a talk called More Than a Luxury — Why the Path to Professional Fulfillment Starts with Your Mental Health, which will combine her experience and academic knowledge. AI expert Nina Schick will present a talk on the benefits and risks of AI and how the technology will change the human experience. She will be joined by Mo Gawdat, former chief business officer of Google (X).
Claus Raasted, director of the College of Extraordinary Experiences and external advisor to McKinsey, is another featured speaker who will participate in a breakout session. Tommy Goodwin, vice president of the Alliance of exhibitions and conferenceswill also speak in a breakout session at the event, explaining how to handle potential calls to boycott a destination.
Not only will there be general sessions, but also engaging educational tracks and networking experiences including a golf outing, charity parties and receptions, and various fitness activities.
The San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) is pulling out all the stops for the gathering. The opening reception will be held in specially designed spaces at SeaWorld, representative of all the city has to offer. Tuesday’s networking reception will feature ’90s R&B group Boyz II Men outdoors on San Diego Bay.
