CHICAGO — The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has opened registration for Convening EMEA, which will be held October 17-19 against the backdrop of Lake Geneva and the Alps at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The event, which will be omnichannel for the first time, is the latest iteration of the event, which originally launched in 2017 as the European Influencer Summit, an invitation-only gathering. In 2019, PCMA opened up attendance to all business event professionals, attracting 300 attendees to Barcelona. This year’s event is designed to further expand the event’s reach by making it an omnichannel event for event professionals from the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

“Simple expressions of our humanity – a handshake, a hug, a roundtable discussion – are what bring our purpose to life,” said Sherrif Karamat, CAE President and CEO, PCMA. “For more than 15 months, we have not been able to gather in person for any of these events. Connecting people with purpose to ideas and opportunities – the craft of human relations – is what we excel at. While it has never been more necessary, it has never been more complex. We have a profound responsibility to ensure the safety of our audiences, while providing the knowledge sharing and community engagement they want and deserve.”
