The JCK Show celebrates its 30th anniversary and breaks attendance and revenue records

LAS VEGAS– For his return to the Las Vegas Strip and his 30th year, JCK surpassed 2019 pre-pandemic show attendance figures ahead of schedule.

More than 30,000 people attended the jewelry exhibition organized by RX Globalwith The Venetian Exhibition The show features more than 1,800 exhibitors. Millions of dollars worth of jewelry, gold, diamonds and other precious metals and stones were showcased to more than 17,000 visitors from 130 countries in an exhibit space enhanced this year to make navigation easier and create moments of inspiration.

“It was a festive and memorable year for the JCK community, ending with a round of applause from exhibitors in every neighborhood, just like the first edition 30 years ago in 1992,” said Sarin Bachmann, Group Vice President, RX Jewelry Group. “This edition ended with great energy, excitement, and most importantly, connection and commerce. This year, we saw increased attendance, quality lead generation, on-site customer success, and amplified optimism for the future of innovation and trends in the jewelry industry, as well as the importance of face-to-face events.”

JCK organizers deemed the show a resounding success, with exhibitors and attendees bringing high energy and a strong sense of camaraderie to the show floor as they conducted business face-to-face and discovered new trends in the industry.

The 2022 JCK programming focused on creating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) within the industry. This was the first year that JCK sponsored the Coalition of Blacks in Jewelry (BIJC). Collections from six BIJC members were featured in JCK’s Design Collective, including collections from Adore Adorn, Jam + Rico, JNCY Jewelers, Christian Stone, Made by Malyia and The Personal Jeweler.

“We learned about the Black in Jewelry Coalition through the JCK Industry Fund, which was established in 1997 and has since awarded over $7 million in program grants that drive lasting improvements across the fine jewelry industry,” said Bachmann. “In 2020, JCK designated a grant specifically to advance diversity in the jewelry industry by supporting BIPOC initiatives. BIJC applied for and was awarded the JCK Industry Fund’s 2021 Diversity & Inclusivity Grant. JCK also provided the opportunity to feature BIPOC designers in the Design Collective at the show. This provided a platform for talented designers to be discovered by new retailers while building new, lasting relationships.”

JCK hosted a DE&I-focused roundtable dedicated to attracting new customers. At the Generating Impact Community Breakfast, hosted by JCK partner, Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA), Karine Bah Tahé, Founder and CEO of Black Women-Owned Business Blue Level Traininga DE&I-focused company, hosted a presentation with remarks from Latoya Boyd, WJA’s 2020 Veterans Scholarship recipient.

To complement the glamour of the jewels on display, 10 social media activations were conducted, including diamond-themed photoshoots, which helped engage attendees and boost engagement on JCK’s social channels. Of these, CrowdReactive produced three, allowing attendees to use a photo booth, put themselves on the cover of JCK magazine, and view content created by others at the event.

“There were 897 pieces of content created in the activation booths and 1,052 posts on Instagram and Twitter using our hashtag,” Bachmann said. “In total, #JCKLasVegas has over 47,458 posts on IG. These stats continue to increase daily.”

In addition to CrowdReactive activations, JCK’s partner Kicks by Sammy created wall art and promotional items for the “Hamilton Remix” event and performance, featuring current and former cast members of Hamilton on Broadway, including Miguel Cervantes, who plays the current Alexander Hamilton. The remix performance was followed by an after-party.

JCK 2023 will take place June 2-5, 2023 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
