FAST TEXTILE is the largest and most professional Polish international fabric and textile industry fair in Central and Eastern Europe. It is held annually and has been in its 9th session so far. It includes textile machinery, textiles, home textiles, fabrics and accessories, yarns, clothing and accessories, etc. Turkish exhibitors have exhibited for two consecutive years with an area of more than 1,000 square meters. Market analysis
Poland has a huge demand for textiles. China’s share of textile imports in Poland has gradually increased from 11.2% in 2004 to 25.11% over the past decade. China has now become the largest source of imports of textile and clothing products in Poland. There are 46,000 companies in the Polish clothing processing industry, 90% of which are private enterprises. According to the Polish Statistical Office, the annual growth rate of textile and clothing consumption in Poland exceeds 5%.
Poland is a developed capitalist country with a total GDP of US$687,597 billion in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%. Its per capita GDP is US$18,177 (2022). In recent years, its status has been increasing both in the European Union and on the international stage.
Poland is at a disadvantage in light textiles, but this is the industry where China has an advantage. Although Poland’s textile and clothing industry is still fragmented, and even the largest manufacturer accounts for less than 10% of the market share, the industry plays a vital role in the entire Polish economy, which is an opportunity for Chinese textile companies of a certain scale.
