Market Introduction
Up to now, Russia has nearly 10 million kilometers of cable projects to be newly built, and the existing cables have been used for many years and are in urgent need of replacement, forming a huge market. China and Russia are close strategic partners. The industrial complementarity between the two countries is very prominent, and the intergovernmental relations and economic and trade relations are at their best in history. The development of Russia’s cable industry lags behind that of China. China’s cables, wires and equipment products are very popular among Russian companies due to their high quality and low price. Chinese companies are facing an excellent historical opportunity to export to the Russian market.
With the withdrawal of Europe and the United States from the Russian market and the development of Made in China, the Russian market will become the biggest new opportunity for Made in China. Sino-Russian trade has also continued to grow. According to Russian customs statistics, Sino-Russian trade volume increased by 5.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024. It is predicted that Sino-Russian trade volume will continue to grow and will exceed US$200 billion in 2024.
