The 2025 BioPlus-Interphex Korea (BIX) (hereinafter referred to as the Korea Biopharmaceutical Exhibition) will be held at the COEX Seoul Convention Center in South Korea from July 2 to 4. The exhibition was founded in 2010 and is ranked among the top ten biotechnology exhibitions in the world. The Korea International Personal Care and Cosmetics Raw Materials Exhibition In-Cosmetics will also be held at the same time.
BioPlus Interphex Korea (BIX) is the largest international exhibition and conference event in the Korean biopharmaceutical field. This year’s exhibition ended on July 12 at COEX in Gangnam District, Seoul, and lasted for three days.
The Korea Biopharmaceutical Show is held annually to support Korean bio companies in entering the global market and is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and co-organized by the Korea Biotechnology Association and Reed Exhibitions Korea (RX), a company specializing in exhibitions and conferences.
At the 2024 Korea Biopharmaceutical Exhibition BIX, more than 250 companies from 15 countries, including global contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) companies such as Samsung Biopharma and Lonza, and global bio-segment (materials, parts and equipment) companies such as Merck, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Sartorius, set up 450 booths. This is the largest scale ever. During the exhibition, about 10,000 visitors are expected to visit.
BIX Korea is a comprehensive business platform covering the entire value chain of the domestic and foreign bio-industry. It is a place where global companies and experts gather together to discuss the latest bio-business strategies.
During the event, various programs and side events will be held to share the latest bio-related technologies and market trends.
In his congratulatory message on the same day, Kang Kyung-sung, the first vice minister of the Ministry of Industry, said, “The bio industry is the second largest semiconductor and future growth engine industry. The government will strengthen support such as designating a national high-tech strategic industry specialized complex for bio and exploring a 36.3 trillion won private investment plan in the bio field, and actively promote global cooperation.”
At the booths set up at the event site that day, many bio-companies held events to introduce their own technologies and products.
