According to a report provided by the Mexican Ministry of Energy, in order to meet the needs of an average annual growth of 5.6% in electricity consumption in the next ten years, Mexico’s investment in the power sector will reach 583 billion pesos (approximately US$52 billion) in the next ten years, of which 38.8% Of the funds, 22.2% will be used to build power stations, 22.2% will be used to build transmission network infrastructure, 23.3% will be used to build distribution networks, 12.8% will be used for maintenance projects, and 3.4% will be used for other budgeted investment projects.
