Presentation of the exhibition
The 13th International Oil and Gas Exhibition Thailand (OGET) in 2024 is the largest and most professional oil and gas exhibition in Thailand and the only professional exhibition on oil and gas technology and petrochemical technology. The exhibition brings together oil, gas and petrochemical companies from upstream to downstream, and helps Bangkok industrial companies explore Thailand’s oil and gas export opportunities and regulatory environment, introduce the latest developments in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, and organize Thailand’s maritime sector. The 2023 exhibition attracted exhibitors from more than 10 countries, including China, Singapore, Italy, Japan, the United States, Germany and South Korea. Chinese exhibitors include PetroChina, China Classification Society, Fengbao Steel Pipe, Wuzhou Valve and other companies participating in the exhibition.
Market presentation:
By the end of 2022, the demand in the Thai oil and natural gas market will reach 2.3329 million barrels/day and is expected to reach 2.6084 million barrels/day in the next five years. Thai PTT has announced plans to expand its oil and gas business. the natural gas market for the period 2021-2025. The companies’ investment amounts to US$28.3 billion. It is used to focus on the development of the country’s liquefied natural gas and natural gas industries.
Building an ASEAN Liquefied Natural Gas Hub: Since 2016, the Ministry of Energy has been promoting a plan to make Thailand a free trade hub for ASEAN Liquefied Natural Gas. The Industrial Authority of Thailand signed a US$1.33 billion agreement with Gulf MPT Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal Company, with the project expected to begin commercial operations in 2025. Thailand’s Ministry of Fossil Fuels also plans to build two floating storage and regasification units. The first project has a capacity of 5 million tonnes/year and will be operational in 2024; will be launched in 2028.
