Presentation of the exhibition
The 9th Thailand Oil and Gas Roadshow in 2024 is a series of traveling exhibitions specializing in offshore oil and gas. It is organized by Thailand’s largest oil, gas and petrochemical center. A large number of local and international oil and gas companies and their supporting businesses will gather in Rayong, eastern Thailand, to showcase the latest developments in the oil industry and offshore drilling.
Market presentation:
Rayong Province is an important industrial base in Thailand, with more than 1,300 industrial enterprises. The main industries include chemicals, steel, oil refining, natural gas, electricity, etc. Thailand’s national industrial development zone, Madap Industrial Development Zone, is located in Rayong Province. Multinational companies from Japan, South Korea, the United States and some European countries are also investing in the chemical, metallurgy, oil refining and other industries in Rayong Province;
Thailand has developed the southern port area near Sriracha into an oil trading center. It integrates the functions of oil trading, refining and chemicals, storage and transportation. It provides a new link for oil producing and trading countries through pipelines connecting the east and west coasts. oil transportation areas;
Thailand has one of the most developed petrochemical industries in Asia, comprising upstream, midstream and downstream petrochemicals. The petrochemical industry accounts for about 5% of its national GDP. The three major petrochemical companies in Thailand are PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC), SCG Chemicals (SCGCH) and Integrated Refining and Petrochemical Complex (IRPC). The Thai government has developed a master plan focusing on improving competitiveness, asset integration and strategic alliances. To achieve these goals, further research on developing complex products of new grades of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is needed.
