Tarsus Group Acquires Foundermade And Health Connect

Tarsus Group acquires FounderMade and Health Connect

LONDON – Tarsus Group has acquired two US-based event companies, FounderMade And Health Connect Partners (HCP), which will be part of the newly created Tarsus Health division encompassing the healthcare, wellness and nutrition sectors.

In addition to the new acquisitions, the division also includes Tarsus Medical’s A4M, LiVDerm, PAINWeek and CMHC brands, as well as BodySite, the digital health platform acquired earlier this year. Tarsus Group plans to add additional healthcare and wellness brands to the growing division in 2022.

“I am delighted that FounderMade and Health Connect Partners are joining Tarsus Group within our Tarsus Health division, which is a key focus area for the future of the business. These companies perfectly embody what we look for when we bring new brands into our portfolio: strong events that understand and meet the needs of their customers, driven by entrepreneurial and dynamic teams. They understand the power of face-to-face interaction and have in-person events at their core; HCP’s one-to-one model is a format that we believe has delivered strong results in our Connect division. I have also been particularly impressed by how FounderMade and HCP have weathered the storm of the last two years by creating strong online offerings,” said Douglas Emslie, CEO of Tarsus Group.

Launched in 2015, FounderMade curates events focused on wellness, beauty, and health. It includes two established trade shows—Discovery Show East and Discovery Show West—and also launched a successful virtual event series in response to the challenges created by the pandemic. FounderMade plans to offer a full calendar of in-person and virtual events in 2022, while expanding niche shows to further target current verticals.

“FounderMade was born out of a passion to help the best consumer companies grow and innovate. We are incredibly excited to join the Tarsus Group. We have found a partner who not only values our authenticity and the special community we have built, but will also give us the tools and support to further grow FounderMade,” said Meghan Asha, CEO and Founder of FounderMade.

In addition to the deal with FounderMade, Tarsus also made an investment in HCP. Launched in 2006, HCP hosts events across five sectors of the acute care hospital market: pharmacy, supply chain, IT, radiology and OR/Surgery. HCP events focus on connecting buyers and suppliers through industry-specific events that include one-on-one meetings, education and networking. The targeted, matchmaking nature of HCP’s model allowed it to seamlessly transition to online events during the pandemic. The company will continue to offer virtual follow-on events to its in-person offering going forward.

“This partnership marks a milestone for our company, allowing us to grow our business while continuing to provide our clients with premier educational and networking events. Whether in person or online, we will continue to produce events that foster an environment where real business relationships can be built and nurtured. We look forward to our partnership with Tarsus and the mutual opportunities for continued growth,” said David Mason, CEO and Co-Founder of HPC.
