CHARLOTTE – Taffy Event Strategies and the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) announced the launch of High Performance Show (HPX), a new trade show to be held June 3-5, 2025, at Charlotte Convention Center.
According to Taffy Event Strategies and NCMA, HPX will be the first trade show to simultaneously serve the B2B and B2C automotive aftermarket communities in the Southeastern United States.
Jenn Heinold, president of Taffy Event Strategies, said research and conversations with NCMA members and industry leaders “revealed the need for the Southeast to have its own dedicated automotive aftermarket event.”
“There are of course racing teams and buyers from a commercial perspective, but these enthusiasts/consumers also invest a lot, so we didn’t want to neglect either side. We actually wanted to build something that serves both,” Heinold said.
The inaugural HPX show will be held in Halls B and C of the Charlotte Convention Center. Heinold anticipates it will span approximately 70,000 net square feet, host 300 to 500 exhibiting companies and be attended by 10,000 to 20,000 visitors. It will feature keynote addresses, a new product showcase, a speaker program, networking opportunities, activations and more.
The show management team collaborates with industry leaders, exhibitors and buyers to plan the show and ensure it meets the needs of the community.
“We had preliminary discussions, even before the announcement, with some of the major exhibiting companies because we didn’t want to build this in a vacuum,” Heinold said. “We also have a very strong membership base with NCMA, so we engaged their membership base as well… we’re all stronger together, and that’s been a recurring theme throughout this process.”
Additionally, Taffy Event Strategies and NCMA are planning a series of events for the post-show weekend, June 6-8, at Charlotte Motor Speedway and other race tracks in the region to foster more industrial connections.
“The car culture in Charlotte is just overwhelming. It makes perfect sense to have the event where the community is… (and) in my experience, community-driven events are always the most successful,” Heinold said.

The Charlotte and surrounding area racing and performance community will also be invited to participate in HPX’s marketing strategy.
Ahead of the event, Heinold announced that the show’s marketing team will host VIP media days “where we will bring media into the Charlotte stores … (and) allow them to experience the product and, more importantly, the people who design and build the product. It’s a level of access that has never been achieved before.”
“What really excited me was the team that we put together to work on this show. They’re very smart, and I’m excited to work with them, and that’s part of the fun… being able to roll up our sleeves and be a part of the community has been very valuable and, let’s face it, it’s a cool community to be a part of,” Heinold said.
