SINGAPORE — The inaugural edition of logistics transport Southeast Asiaorganised by Messe München, will bring together key players in global supply chains in Singapore. Taking place from 1-3 November 2023, the new trade show is set to become the most influential event for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management in Southeast Asia, with companies including DP World, Dubai South, DHL, dnata, Changi Airport and Etihad participating.
Transport logistic Southeast Asia builds on its main exhibition in Munich and will benefit from Messe München’s global network to bring together the world’s leading service providers to meet, network and engage with key buyers in the region. Speakers will also present key industry trends and topics.
The timing of the show coincides with industry developments, with established trade routes increasingly shifting in the wake of global crises and the Southeast Asia region, already home to leading hubs, likely to become even more crucial in the future. With Singapore historically being a major hub for trade to and from Asia, many logistics service providers from around the world already have their branches and regional headquarters there. In addition, many shipping companies with operations in the ASEAN region or across Asia also have a presence in Singapore.

The show has attracted a lot of interest and already occupies two halls at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. According to Michael Wilton, CEO of MMI Asia, the regional subsidiary of Messe München, a third is expected to be added. The show is expected to occupy 10,639 square feet.
The logistics sector plays an important role in business growth, Wilton said in a recent radio interview, and is critical to the overall economic recovery in Singapore and the region. “We are expecting over 100 product or service providers to showcase or showcase their expertise and solutions to the sector. This will help businesses here in Southeast Asia and Singapore to grow and develop their distribution networks and supply chains, and enable a rebound after two challenging years.”
The organizer Messe München is behind other major events in the field of transport logistics and air freight in Mumbai, Shanghai, Istanbul, Johannesburg and Miami, in addition to the Munich event.
