HIGH POINT, North Carolina — Store object led the way for its group of creative-minded buyers and sellers last week with its first installation hosted at High Point Market.
Shoppe High Point, a show-within-a-show dedicated to home decor, accessories and furnishings, was held on the third floor of High Point’s historic Market Square in a bright and airy space that retained many of the building’s historic features, with hardwood floors and plenty of natural light. There was also a Shoppe Café and Shoppe Bar.
“I’ve had my eye on the historic, loft-like space we now occupy for years, and always dreamed that we would one day activate it, filling it with beauty,” said Jesse James, Shoppe Object’s founder and show director. “Seeing it all come to fruition, watching the jubilant faces of attendees as they walked the winding floor and basked in the natural light while making new connections and discoveries, was so rewarding. We’ve found our home in High Point, and I look forward to the April revival as we continue to showcase our very special location in this exciting and growing market.”
More than 100 select brands were new to High Point Market, including Dumais Made (lighting), East Fork Pottery (tableware) and Cyrc (home décor and accessories), a sustainability-focused brand. Similar to Shoppe Object in New York, nearly a quarter of exhibitors were from outside the U.S.

Exhibitors and attendees agreed that the new space looked nothing like a trade show.
“People typically spend hours and often days at trade shows. If the space is too small, it can diminish the fun and creativity that comes with discovering beautiful products,” said Jojo Feld, head of growth and engagement at Shoppe Object. “At Shoppe Object, we’re all about creating environments that put the focus back on the joy of living: natural light, healthy and delicious food options, new brands and floor plans, great playlists, and a bar to wrap up the workday. This of course showcases products in a more idealized light, and it also simply helps shoppers enjoy their time at the show, making it feel more like a trip or meeting with friends than a long day at work. That’s important to us.”
High Point Market attracts tens of thousands of industry insiders from around the world every spring and fall;hoppe Object will return to High Point April 13-16, 2024, with over 100 brands.
