LISBON — THE SBC Barcelona Summit The SBC Summit 2024 conference and exhibition, where the world’s leaders in sports betting and iGaming come together to discuss the future of the industry, exchange knowledge and build strong relationships, will have a new home in 2024: Lisbon, Portugal. With the new venue comes a new name, SBC Summit 2024, to better reflect the global nature of the event.
A must-attend event for sports betting and iGaming industry professionals, the Summit attracts thousands of attendees from around the world and covers all industry verticals.
This year, the SBC Summit Barcelona was held in Montjuïc Fair in Barcelona for its third edition, with an exhibition space of 409,000 square feet with more than 350 exhibitors and approximately 15,000 industry professionals.
The exhibition space was divided into five distinct zones: Sports Betting, Casino & iGaming, Payments & Compliance, Affiliation, Marketing & Media and Emerging Technologies, Blockchain & Metaverse, each with its own conference stage, exhibition space and networking areas.
Speakers included 450 industry professionals, who delivered 80 hours of content across eight conference rooms, covering sports betting, casinos, online gaming, payments, emerging technologies, innovation, digital marketing and safer gambling.

Next year, the summit will be held from 24 to 26 September at the Feira Internacional in Lisbon, on an exhibition and conference area of over one million square metres, more than twice the size of this year’s show. The SBC will now be able to accommodate 600 exhibitors, almost double this year’s number, and 25,000 attendees. This diverse audience will include operators, affiliates, sports betting and casino providers, regulators, payment providers, marketing agencies, associations, legal advisors, start-ups and more.

“The decision to move our flagship event to a new venue was driven by its remarkable growth, which has clearly outgrown the capacity of Fira Barcelona Montjuïc, as well as the praise and support from clients and industry stakeholders,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “When we say it’s the fastest growing event in the industry, we mean it, which is why finding the right venue and city was absolutely essential.”
The Lisbon conference will host eight stages and 500 speakers, including the largest gaming stage, with seating for thousands of delegates.

Lisbon, one of the oldest cities in Western Europe and a historical gem, offers a seamless transportation network. Although Portuguese is the official language, English is widely spoken in key areas. Additionally, Humberto Delgado Airport, conveniently located just over two miles from FIL, offers direct connections to 136 airports worldwide, including non-stop flights to major US and South American hubs.
