SAINT ANTHONY – Cvent CONNECT will be held in San Antonio for the first time this year, marking its first edition outside of Las Vegas since 2013.
Scheduled for June 10-13 at Henry B. González Convention Center and many other venues in San Antonio, the event is expected to generate approximately $7.06 million in direct economic impact to the city.
Cvent expects more than 3,000 event, marketing and hospitality professionals at Cvent CONNECT 2024, with thousands more connecting virtually, to learn about industry trends, network and more. More than 200 exhibitors are expected at the sold-out show.
Why San Antonio
“Cvent has always had a great partnership with the City of San Antonio,” said Rachel Andrews, global head of events at Cvent., “The city is well-versed in Cvent CONNECT from both the exhibitor and sponsor sides, so hosting the conference in San Antonio made perfect sense for us. San Antonio’s central location is also something that appealed to us given that our attendees are located all over the country.”
For those attending the event in person, San Antonio also offers plenty of activities outside of Cvent CONNECT. The Cvent team intentionally created the event schedule to give attendees time to enjoy the city’s many offerings, including dining, shopping, and its rich culture and historical heritage.
“From a destination perspective, San Antonio has a lot to offer, including a rich cultural and historical heritage, delicious cuisine and a multitude of shopping options. We have strategically planned the Cvent CONNECT program so that attendees have ample time to enjoy San Antonio’s attractions and landmarks.”
“It’s also great that many of the hotels are conveniently located near the convention center, which will help CONNECT feel like a true city-wide event. Our team has worked closely with the Visit San Antonio “We need a team to execute an event that spans multiple properties and venues across the city,” Andrews explained.

Marc Anderson, president and CEO of Visit San Antonio, said a local hosting committee representing key stakeholders and partners has been formed to facilitate the success of Cvent CONNECT 2024.
“Cvent has been and continues to be critical to us as a business partner; now they will be our valued guests,” Anderson added. “In fact, over 70% of Visit San Antonio’s leads come from Cvent’s platform, and we look forward to growing that number as a host city.”
“This is in line with Visit San Antonio’s recent strategy to encourage key industry meetings and increase business and association meetings for our city, further stimulating this vital sector of our local economy… San Antonio looks forward to warmly hosting this vital industry meeting and the continued growth of our hospitality industry.”
Cvent CONNECT 2024
“My favorite thing about this year’s event is how dedicated we are to assessing the impact of our event, not only on our attendees, but on the city as a whole,” Andrews shared.
Cvent plans to host a donation experience in partnership with Goodto transform surplus food from Cvent CONNECT 2024 into meals for the local community, and a program where participants can customize “Cheer Up Kits” for pediatric patients Ronald McDonald House charities in San Antonio. They will also feature a Neon Rodeo-themed reception and Lone Star Jam, behind-the-scenes tours of San Antonio, and more opportunities for attendees to engage in San Antonio’s unique culture while learning and networking.
“We are excited for people to learn and explore together at Cvent CONNECT. Last year, the focus was on bringing back our in-person event, but this year, our team’s goal is to create meaningful engagement. We hope every attendee leaves the event feeling purposeful and inspired,” Andrews said.
