SURREY, UNITED KINGDOM. — Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of RX Global’s mission and value, and the powerhouse show organizer is taking action by partnering with two foundations that support DE&I through education and mentorship — the Goodes O’Loughlin Foundation (GO) And Color Research Foundation.
As part of RX Global’s commitment to invest $1 million over five years in selected non-profit organisations around the world that are committed to improving inclusion and diversity in local communities, the company has partnered with the Australian Goodes O’Loughlin (GO) Foundation, which works with schools and universities in Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra, Australia, to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
“As the RX AU Business Unit I&D Lead, I appointed the GO Foundation,” said Nina Vidale, RX Events Director – Life Instyle and Beauty Expo Australia. “Their values “The values of integrity, equality, opportunity and cultural strength really resonated with me and of course aligned strongly with our RX core values. I truly believe that education is one of the most powerful tools we have, and the GO Foundation’s purpose and mission is to create opportunities for young Indigenous people by empowering them through education. Alongside this, they also ensure that Indigenous Australians maintain a strong connection to their culture, which is very important for meaningful long-term change in this country. I felt that if we as a business can contribute, even a small amount, to ensuring equality of opportunity and access to education and resources, then we are making a difference that we can be proud of.”

The GO Foundation believes that students who connect with their culture through education and mentorship foster greater participation and engagement, while creating a deeper sense of community and connection to their Indigenous culture. The foundation has awarded over 950 scholarships.
“When students learn about their culture, they learn about their origins and heritage, as well as the legacy of their elders,” GO CEO Charlene Davison said in a statement. Article published by RX on the partnership“Students are proud, they want to work hard for their families and communities, for those who came before them, and to succeed and change the world for those who will follow. Financial support from partners like RX allows us to both increase the number of students and properly support them so they can achieve their dreams.”
Dedicated to impacting education
The Research in Color Foundation, another RX Global Charity Fund partner, is dedicated to increasing and retaining the number of racial and ethnic minorities in doctoral programs in economics and adjacent economic disciplines.
Founder Chinemelu Okafor, a Harvard doctoral student, said: “Economics directly influences policies in health, education, criminal justice and beyond, but economics as a discipline disproportionately includes people of color. When you exclude the perspectives of marginalized groups, you limit the range of economic knowledge available to policymakers, which can perpetuate economic and political disparities in everyday life.”

Research in Color’s mission to provide mentorship to these students is also future-focused, with the idea that having good mentors to guide and help students in turn can create good mentors, allowing them to continue the cycle.
RX’s $30,000 donation will provide Research in Color with the resources to provide scholarships to mentees for their graduate studies. Chinemelu said, “RX’s generous contribution will also help fund Research in Color’s administrative expenses to keep the organization alive and well.”
The GO Foundation and the Research in Color Foundation are the latest additions to RX’s partnerships which include THE Brazilian Institutetand for the reintegration of refugees (Adus Institute), Business initiative for racial equality (Business Initiative for Equality) racial) and Zumi Dos Palmares University; South Africa Olivier’s house And 19twenty8; United Kingdom Heritage Corner And Racial Justice Network; And Ally2Action And Better luck in Darien in the United States
