CHICAGO — Restaurant Events, LLC, a new trade show management company, has purchased three restaurant and catering trade shows from Clarion Events. New York International Restaurant and Foodservice Show, Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show and the Western Hotel and Restaurant Show will now be managed by Restaurant Events. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

The new management company was created by Partners Tim von Gal and Doug Miller, two industry veterans who are familiar with the restaurant industry and the shows their company has purchased. Previously, the two were managing partners of Urban Expositions. In 2014, while working for Urban Expositions, they purchased the same three shows from RX (then Reed Exhibitions), then sold them to Clarion Events in 2016. The two then sold Urban Expositions to Clarion Events in 2018 and later formed Restaurant Events.
Clarion Events team members accompany purchased shows to help maintain consistency across operations, marketing, sales and content development.

Exhibitors and attendees will benefit from a high level of customer service and comprehensive marketing support to make their experience enjoyable and productive.”
The International Restaurant & Foodservice Show in New York will take place March 3-5, 2024 at the Javits Center; the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show will take place November 8-9, 2023 at the Orange County Convention Center; and the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo is scheduled for August 6-8, 2023 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
