ORLANDO, Fla. — TheOrange County Convention Center(OCCC) in Orlando, Florida, has a new partnership withWalt Disney WorldThe two companies are now engaged in an OCCC Gold Key partnership, which represents premier services and exclusive benefits for guests, customers and exhibitors.
The goal of the new partnership is to provide exposure to show managers and organizers, attendees and exhibitors across a variety of sales and marketing channels to build relationships and host offsite events in conjunction with gatherings held at the OCCC.
“Each partner in our Gold Key Partner program offers a customized suite of products and services that can be tailored to the needs of each of our clients,” said Mark Tester, executive director of OCCC. “We are grateful for the partnerships we have with Universal, SeaWorld and most recently Walt Disney World, as they provide show managers and exhibit managers with access to exclusive programming and event opportunities to host off-site events as well as exclusive in-park experiences.”
The agreement, which began May 1, is for three years with three one-year renewals if both parties agree. Through the partnership, trade show and event organizers can work with other leading organizers, culinary experts and cutting-edge technology from Disney.

By providing access to renowned venues, immersive experiences and creative resources, Disney Meetings & Events offers guests and the OCCC the opportunity to create unique experiences for attendees. The partnership will enable private, customized events at Disney theme parks, water parks and resorts, as well as large-scale productions at the convention center.
According to a study by Oxford Economics, Walt Disney World has an overall economic impact of $75.2 billion per year for Central Florida, while the OCCC reports generating $3 billion per year in economic impact for the region.
