MAGIC, PROJECT and SOURCING at MAGIC Las Vegas shine in 2024

LAS VEGAS MAGIC PROJECT of the MMGNET group And SOURCING at MAGIC Las Vegas 2024 showcased the latest fashion trends at Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) February 13-15. Across 547,197 net square feet (NSF) across the three co-located shows, up from 522,118 net square feet in 2023, over 700 brands showcased their wares, including librarian, maximalist and ultra-feminist looks.

“I think what makes Vegas so special is its comprehensive nature,” said Jordan Rudow, vice president of MAGIC and PROJECT Women’s. “It’s truly a one-stop shop, and I really think our mandate speaks volumes… we feature the best retailers from around the world, we have an in-house retail team unlike a lot of other retail events… (and) we focus on the upper end of the market.”

Teodora Nicolae, Vice President of Marketing at MMGNET Group, explained that their “marketing approach is continually adjusted to better serve our audience and their needs. This season, we focused on increasing our personalized communications using multi-channel touchpoints and creating an even more seamless ‘always connected’ journey for our customers and audience.”

Rudow said MMGNET Group’s personal, disciplined approach was also evident at LVCC, as each MAGIC show — Las Vegas, Nashville, New York and, in 2025, Miami — strives to present a “unique point of view,” offering new resources that retailers are demanding.

For example, KIDS at MAGIC was relaunched at MAGIC Las Vegas 2024. “We were really excited to bring it back — it was a big request from the retailer… we always exhibit and listen to our audience and make strategic decisions that way,” Rudow shared.

MMGNET Group plans to further connect the fashion industry with new exclusive content, research-based market insights, seasonal trend forecasts, distinct curation and more business resources in the future.

90 years of MAGIC

2024 marks the 90th anniversary of MAGIC, and happy hours, an exhibit spanning 90 years of fashion trends and a MAGIC timeline in the LVCC Grand Lobby commemorated the milestone in Vegas.

“There will be more to come,” Rudow added. “I’ve been with MAGIC for 17 years, and it’s amazing that the show has been around for 90 years. It’s pretty amazing to be a part of it.”

“I’m always excited to see our community come together. It’s a tactile business, so you want to touch and feel the product, and look at it in person… just making those connections is what keeps me going and what’s kept me here for two decades. It’s really special to see the community come together, learn from each other, find new resources, and also help the MAGIC vertical have a little fun too.”

MMGNET’s next show is MAGIC Nashville, scheduled for April 3-4, 2024.
