CHICAGO — Longtime trade show professional and beloved colleague Kim Gulczynski passed away suddenly on May 27 at the age of 63. Gulczynski devoted more than 18 years to CompuSystemswhere she managed the registration process for many iconic trade shows with a great passion for her work and her clients.
Most recently, Gulczynski served as the company’s national accounts project manager. Earlier this year, Gulczynski won SEMA’s Stand By Me Award for his valuable guidance and efforts that went above and beyond.
“Here at SEMA we host an annual event for our key suppliers called Camp SEMA. During this two-day event, we recognize and acknowledge the hard and tireless work of our suppliers who partner with us to produce the SEMA Show. Kim worked tirelessly with our Senior Director of Registration, Karen Zisko, and never once said that the things we asked for couldn’t be done, no matter how outrageous. Kim was a consummate professional at all times, with a smile and a positive attitude. We loved and respected her and considered her an important member of the SEMA family. She will be greatly missed,” said Lorri Monty, CEM, Senior Director of SEMA Show Operations.
Gulczynski has managed registrations for a number of top Trade Show Executive Gold 100 trade shows, including MINExpo International, SEMA Show (Specialized Equipment Market Association), SHOT Show (Shooting, hunting and outdoor activities fair), NSC Security Congress and Exhibition (National Security Council) and AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Trade Fair).
Gulczynski’s memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at Richard J Modell Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For more information, click here.
