LAS VEGAS— Hoping to capture a share of the approximately $1.5 trillion U.S. food and beverage market, SIAL America, a major food exhibition, will debut in Las Vegas in March 2022. Emerald Holding is partnering with Comexposium to launch SIAL America, which will showcase all food and beverage categories to leading importers, food service companies, distributors, retailers and wholesalers.
“SIAL America underscores the growing importance of creating a unique event for the food industry here in the United States and provides a much-needed opportunity for the sector and the industry,” said Hervé Sedky, Emerald’s president and CEO, during a recent press conference at the International Pizza Expo and Conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While news of the partnership was shared in June, this was the official announcement at which representatives could gather.

“This partnership underscores the growing importance of creating a unique event for the food and beverage industry. Emerald and Comexposium share a common vision of providing new opportunities for growth and innovation for our customers, which is very exciting for our industry as a whole,” said Jessica Blue, Executive Vice President of Emerald.
The menu is set to kick off SIAL America on March 22-24, 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). It will run concurrently with the International Pizza Expo and the International Artisan Bakery Expo in Emerald.
“I want to emphasize that we’re in this for a longer-term event. We’re definitely going to create a great show,” said Steve Corrick, Comexposium’s CEO for North America. “But more than that, we’re going to create a complete show around content, inspiration, the best of American cuisine, complementing it with the best of global cuisine and attracting international pavilions and attendees from around the world.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Emerald to launch SIAL America. Having established strong trade platforms in Paris, Shanghai, Montreal and many other cities around the world, we plan to launch a new international food show in Las Vegas to enable a full sourcing of new products,” said Nicolas Trentesaux, Global CEO of the SIAL network. “We look forward to welcoming guests to share our vision and spark new and exciting relationships in the food sector.”
SIAL America will join other global SIAL locations including France, Canada, United Arab Emirates, India, China, Algeria and Indonesia, welcoming more than 700,000 attendees and 16,000 exhibitors each year.
