LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas Restaurant Workers Union has set a Nov. 10 deadline to call a strike, after the’contract negotiations with the city’s major employers, including Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts and MGM Resorts International, have stalled. The strike would be the union’s first in more than 30 years.
The union announced that 35,000 members were set to strike at 18 casinos on Nov. 10, just days before the Formula One Grand Prix in Las Vegas. The race is expected to have an estimated $1.2 billion economic impact on Nevada, according to the newspaper. Forbes.

The 18 properties that could be affected by the strike include Wynn and Encore Resorts, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Park MGM, New York-New York, Aria, Bellagio, Flamingo, Luxor, Harrah’s’s, The Cromwell, Horseshoe, The Linq and Excalibur, according to the Associated Press.
