ORLANDO, Fla. — The IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions), the global association for the attractions industry, is expanding its offerings in the Middle East by hosting a new in-person business summit in Saudi Arabia.

“The Middle East is an important region and IAAPA is looking to build more relationships in the region while increasing its membership,” said Peter van der Schans, vice president and executive director of IAAPA Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Saudi Arabia is experiencing a boom in the attractions industry and we are ready to help the country’s leaders achieve their goals.”
Event attendees will be able to take advantage of the full summit program, which includes access to the Business Connect Zone, training sessions, networking events and EDUTours. Attendees can choose from several registration options that offer varying levels of access to events and training sessions throughout the show.

The new show will offer networking opportunities with local stakeholders, an educational program and information on the requirements for doing business in the region. There will be sessions and roundtables on trends, challenges, developments and security, among other topics in the leisure and entertainment sectors.
More than 30 international speakers from companies including Disneyland Paris and Six Flags Qiddiya are expected to attend the new event. These speakers are seasoned industry professionals who will participate in educational sessions to share their perspectives on the most pressing topics facing the attractions industry.
For aspiring professionals in the attractions sector, there will be a professional development programme for those who joined the sector less than five years ago. Institute of Attractions Managers is designed to give participants a global perspective on attractions, discover all areas of operations and share best practices between companies.
THE IAAPA Middle East Business Summit will be held from March 7-8, 2023 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
