Hubilo Technologies strengthens its in-person presence in the industry

SAN FRANCISCO – Global Event Technology Company Hubilo Technologies Inc.recently acquired field traininga leading Belgian event technology company, strengthening Hubilo’s reach in the industry. With this acquisition, Hubilo strengthens its ability to deliver in-person event experiences globally and increases its access to resources, data and market insights.

“The combination of the two companies allows us to pool our products, expertise and talent, enabling us to deliver digital, hybrid and in-person events anywhere in the world,” said Vaibhav Jain, Founder and CEO of Hubilo. “This acquisition strengthens Hubilo’s position as a leading player in event technology.”

The strategic acquisition of fielddrive, which works with any data source or registration platform and can be deployed across any venue, room, and event type, also fits into Hubilo’s push to focus on sustainability. According to Jain, a Hubilo survey of event professionals found that 61% said they consider environmental impact when attending an event.

“Hubilo’s acquisition of Fielddrive opens up a new world of events, making them more sustainable by reducing environmental impact, while providing the opportunity to build relationships that in-person events offer,” said Jain.

Jain added, “Hubilo is passionate about making events more enjoyable, and Fielddrive is helping to make that happen. With Fielddrive’s AI and facial recognition capabilities, we are not only reducing the typical waste associated with events, but also making events seamless and easier to navigate. Additionally, we are enabling clients to reach a wider audience with hybrid and virtual options that make events more accessible to everyone, from those with medical disabilities to parents with family commitments or those simply with financial constraints. We are democratizing opportunity and progress.”

Jain also said that Fielddrive will operate as an independent entity and continue to be platform-agnostic.

“It’s great to see the business grow further and build on its strong foundation. With additional resources, we will be able to expand our range of solutions into more geographies with new market-leading features,” said Danny Stevens, Founder and CEO of fielddrive. “This acquisition means we can continue to innovate further in this space to deliver unbeatable visit experiences for our customers. We are all excited about the future of fielddrive, now integrated into Hubilo.”

Founded five years ago, Hubilo has raised over $150 million from leading venture capital firms including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Alkeon Capital and Balderton Capital and has since delivered virtual and hybrid event experiences in over 185 countries to some 2 million attendees.

Hubilo also plans to expand into the in-person events space. Hublio Onsite’s new CEO, Sophie Ahmed, will lead Fielddrive for Hubilo. “Having led large in-person events for over two decades, I understand why Fielddrive is so appealing to event organizers: from visitor queue management, facial recognition for on-site check-in, durable badge creation, lead retrieval and analytics, new monetization opportunities, and an expert customer experience team,” Ahmed said. “This is a fantastic acquisition for Hubilo, and we have many exciting things planned on our roadmap as we push the boundaries of creating incredible event journeys for organizers and their attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.”
