MIAMI — The Florida International Medical Expo (FIME), produced by Informa Markets, took over the Miami Beach Convention Center exhibit space June 19-21. The show brought together 15,000 professionals to learn about new products and services in the medical device and equipment industry, network and partner, and gain information.
Serving the global medical devices and equipment market, FIME is one of the live trade shows that strengthen Informa Markets’ reach in the healthcare sector, with the organizer hosting 12 live and online exhibitions and 110 conferences across the globe.
“FIME saw significant growth in 2024 compared to the previous year,” said Gil Alejo, Exhibition Director at Informa Markets Healthcare. “This year, we hosted 1,200 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors, with 153,000 square feet of exhibition space, occupying the four halls. This generated $480 million in total revenue. In addition, we hosted 15 national pavilions, including China, Taiwan, Poland, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Poland, Pakistan and India. This is a notable increase from 2023, reflecting the growing reach and impact of FIME.”
To ensure strong international participation of participants, the FIME team focused on targeted marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships and media collaboration to achieve global reach.
“We also support international attendees by providing logistical assistance, including travel, accommodations and on-site services, while also offering virtual participation options,” Alejo said. “By incorporating cultural sensitivity, cutting-edge technology and engaging activities such as workshops and product launches, we create an engaging and inclusive experience. Continuous feedback and adaptation allows us to remain relevant and improve the event each year.”

Given the global nature of the show, the FIME team also found that using a multi-channel marketing approach yielded the best results.
“The use of digital marketing was crucial, with targeted campaigns on social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram allowing us to directly engage with healthcare and medical professionals,” said Alejo. “Email marketing was another effective tool, and collaborations with international industry associations and media partners helped us reach a wider audience through trusted channels. This holistic strategy allowed us to reach our audience through their preferred channels, maximizing awareness and engagement.”
Regarding the technologies presented at the show this year, Alejo said that the company Ainnova stands out for its innovative solutions for early detection of diseases using AI. The company is currently studying applications for Alzheimer’s disease and is looking to make the technology accessible and affordable.
“We are particularly proud of the diversity of exhibitors who showcased their latest medical products and services at this year’s event. It was a powerful reminder of the ongoing evolution of the healthcare industry, with companies striving to innovate for greater effectiveness and efficiency. The exhibition highlighted the industry’s commitment to progress and deliver life-changing products and solutions for caregivers and patients. This commitment to innovation and improvement was a highlight of FIME 2024, showcasing the transformative potential of the healthcare industry,” said Alejo.
FIME 2025 will take place June 11-13 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
