ATLANTA, Georgia. — A partnership with Exposition Development Company (ExpoDevCo) and Montgomery Group will bring the successful Independent Hotel Show to the Miami Beach Convention Center from November 2-3, 2022. The show was founded in London in 2012 and launched in Amsterdam in 2019.
The Independent Hotel Show brings together thousands of hotel owners, general managers and key decision makers from luxury and boutique brands to network and do business, as well as research new products and services.

According to statista.com, the size of the boutique hotel market in the United States is expected to reach $12.3 billion in 2021, after a decline in 2020 due to the impact of COVID. The number of boutique hotel businesses in the United States has been growing over the past decade in the United States and is expected to reach nearly 5,000 in 2021.

“I see a silver lining for independent hotels and the entire hospitality industry because it’s a resilient group,” said Stephanie Everett, COO and Partner at ExpoDevCo. “I think it’s less about getting back on our feet at this point, because no one has a crystal ball, and more about rebuilding confidence in the industry and getting back to business while learning to navigate new waters, with COVID now part of the mix. The Independent Hotel Show Miami will be a resource to help with that rebuilding and reconnecting through new networks, partnerships and education.”

Miami Beach was a logical choice as a destination because it is known for its colorful and eclectic boutique hotels, many of which date back to the Art Deco era. Plus, it offers excellent access to hoteliers from the Caribbean and Latin America.
“One of our goals as an association is to promote Miami as a premier destination for leisure and business travelers, and independent hotels play an incredibly important role in creating that Miami experience,” said Wendy Kallergis, president and CEO of the Greater Miami and Beaches Hotel Association, a major supporter of the show.
