Russian Fish Exhibition
Rus Fish Expo, the St. Petersburg exhibition of aquatic products and seafood processing, is the largest trade fair of aquatic products and seafood in Russia and even in Europe.
The Russian exhibition of processing and aquatic seafood in St. Petersburg, Rus Fish Expo, received strong support from the local Ministry of Agriculture and the municipal government of St. Petersburg in Russia. At the same time, more than 11 forums related to the trends and strategies of development of the international seafood market, fisheries management, cooperation, breeding, processing and trade were held, and representatives from various countries delivered more than 80 opening speeches.
According to the National Data Center data from July 2015, Russian fisheries have been developing steadily over the past three years, with an annual catch of about 4.3 million tons, half of which is exported to China, South Korea and Japan. The Deputy Chairman of the Fisheries Service of the Russian Federation said that since 2009, the Russian fishing industry has been growing steadily at an annual growth rate of 10%, with catches of edible fish ranging from 3.6 to 3.7 million tons, but Russia still needs to import seafood to meet market supply.
