DALLAS— The month of January Dallas Clothing and Accessories Market will break records in terms of the number of exhibiting companies at the 2023 edition of the show, which will be held from January 10 to 13 Dallas Market CenterNext month, the market will host 700 temporary exhibitor stands and 250 permanent exhibition halls, an increase of around 15% compared to the January 2022 edition.
The Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market enjoyed a successful 2022, growing 20% over the course of the year. Total retailer attendance across the five apparel, accessories and footwear events increased nearly 20%, and first-time buyers increased more than 40% over 2019. Dallas Market Center also announced that attendance from the Southeast increased 86%, the Upper Midwest increased 91% and the West increased 104% over 2019.
““The increase in attendees and exhibitors is due to multiple reasons,” said Cole Daugherty, senior vice president of exhibitor marketing for Dallas Market Center. “First, we have been open and have been hosting trade shows almost nonstop for the past two years. Retailers understood that we were open and had great products to view and order. Exhibitors also knew that trade was happening in Dallas. Second, we have seen a shift in attendee priorities. Today, they are eager to travel to one location rather than multiple shows. They are optimizing their travel to trade shows to save time and money. Finally, our attendees are retailers who stock a diverse set of products and they can find everything in our marketplace, not only in the apparel and accessories categories, but also in other categories like gifting and holiday.”
Along with the increase in attendance and exhibitor numbers, the show floor space has expanded. More than 50,000 square feet of space has been added to the show through 2022, giving the Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market in January more room for exhibitors than last year’s edition. The number of booths in the 10th The price of the floor has increased by 50% compared to last January. Young Contemporary on the 10th floor enlarged by 25%, the permanent exhibition rooms on the 13thth Current exhibitors have grown and in January attendees will see expansions of current exhibitors on the 15thth ground.
To support record levels of new buyer inquiries, Dallas Market Center is offering The Scoop, a daily focus to share tips on prioritizing the day and information on what’s new at the show for new buyers and exhibitors.“This show has become not only a great opportunity for buyers, but also allows the Dallas Market Center team to meet with them in person, educate them about our market and build lasting relationships. We anticipate that 15% of January show attendees will be newcomers,” Daugherty said.
For the January show, THE GOODS by Brand Assembly showroom and retail experience will launch. It is a 17,000 square foot space where more than 40 brands will showcase their collections. On its opening night Daniel X Diamond will be the special guest, with pieces from the collections and an exhibition of looks worn by celebrities such as Carrie Underwood and Gwen Stefani.
The WESA International Western and Equipment Market and the AETA Equestrian Show will be held in conjunction with the Dallas Apparel & Accessories Market next month at the Dallas Market Center.
