BRIGHTON — The founders of Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI), Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSIE) and the CSI+ membership platform, have announced the launch of two new trade shows.
The Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit (CXI Europe) will be held December 4-5, 2024, and the Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Americas (CXI Americas) will be held June 3-4, 2025. These new events will showcase technological advancements impacting the customer experience, introduce a range of new vendors, tailor-made content, and formal and informal networking experiences.
“CXI highlights the cruise industry’s evolution towards enhancing onboard experiences through innovation and technology. CXI visitors will now have a dedicated platform to connect with leading suppliers in the customer experience space, whilst benefiting from valuable insights from industry thought leaders,” said Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions.
Cruise brands are looking to deliver customization at scale, hoping to recreate what the industry calls the “small ship experience” for passengers aboard even the largest of supersized ships. From smart room controls that allow passengers to calibrate their rooms to their personal tastes to wearables that generate personalized experiences using passenger data, cruise ship technology is shaping the passenger experience. Behind the scenes, cruise line designers are tapping new suppliers to create interiors with enhanced functionality, like the automated retractable theater seats aboard MSC World Europe.

CXI Europe will be held at ExCeL London, co-located with CSI Europe. Cruise lines, shipyards and suppliers will showcase, demonstrate and unveil cutting-edge technologies and innovations, exchange ideas and meet thought leaders who are driving the industry forward. There will be seminars, product demonstrations and a lounge area full of pioneering solutions.
Immersive technology on display will include smart room controls, interactive displays, wayfinding systems, RFID technology and culinary innovation.
Suppliers will benefit from unprecedented access to the decision-makers who are driving the next generation of ships. Through interactive exhibition booths, product demonstrations and tailored meetings, companies will be able to effectively showcase their technology and the scope and impact of their products on the future of cruising.
