LONDON –CloserStill Media, which produces over 80 market-leading trade shows and exhibitions across the learning, healthcare, technology and veterinary sectors with events across the UK, Europe, US and Asia, has had a record year in 2022 with revenues up 40% on 2019. The business has also grown to a team of 450.
“It’s an exciting time to be a part of CloserStill Media. With our business in the U.S. and around the world rebounding to pre-pandemic levels, it’s a true sign of our employees’ commitment to our events and each other,” said Yancy Weinrich, President of CloserStill, North America. “We’re off to a strong start to the year and I’m confident we’re positioned for another record-breaking year in 2023. With the U.S. market being CloserStill’s primary focus, we’ll be extremely focused on growing our presence through launches, acquisitions and organic growth of our existing events.”
Headquartered in the UK, the majority of revenues are international, with the group operating from major hubs in London, New York and Singapore and with further operations in continental Europe and the US. CloserStill now employs 450 people, a significant increase on pre-pandemic levels.

“We are delighted with our results in 2022. We have seen a full recovery of our business in almost all of our markets in 2022, enabling us to grow beyond expectations,” said Gareth Bowhill, CEO of CloserStill. “This is testament to our disciplined strategic sector focus in the technology and healthcare markets, the strength of our events positioning and the quality and commitment of our people over what has been an extremely challenging few years for our business and the industry as a whole.”
CloserStill started 2023 by making two acquisitions: New York-based CommerceNext, a US-based company focused on conferences and the e-commerce community, and London-based OpenRoom, which creates healthcare and retail events around the world.
“We are also very encouraged by our activity in early 2023. We are very focused on continuing a number of organic initiatives within the group, which has already seen us launch eight new events in the last 12 months, as well as continuing to cultivate a strong M&A pipeline which should result in further acquisitions in the coming months,” Bowhill said.
