CHICAGO — Trade Show Manager (TSE) is now accepting submissions for the coveted TSE Grand Awards, which recognize the best of the best trade shows. The TSE Grand Awards are open to trade shows of all sizes, even those not big enough to qualify for the TSE Gold 100. Show organizers can submit events that cover all aspects of the industry, from shows that showcase marketing leaders to those that excel at social media engagement. New technologies are also a focus this year, including a new “Best Virtual Show” category. The majority of this year’s categories are also open to virtual events that included virtual exhibits.
Other new categories for this year’s Grand Prix include the Return to “Normal” Award, which recognizes the show that returned in-person and overcame significant challenges to continue offering popular and/or traditional programming despite the pandemic. The new Staying Connected Award recognizes the show that launched the best programming to stay connected with the show’s partners during the pandemic, despite show cancellations and postponements. Also new this year is the Show Must Go On! Award, which recognizes the most impressive pivot during the pandemic, highlighting a show that overcame obstacles and delivered against all odds.
The new Squeaky Clean Award recognizes the show that implemented the most outstanding safety and cleaning measures. The new Above & Beyond Award recognizes the team or individual who contributed to the success of the show by delivering performances and exceeding expectations.
There is also a DEI Leadership Award for the most outstanding leadership in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.
Many categories from the past are still included in this year’s Grand Awards, including the Show with the Most Outstanding Green Initiatives and the Most Innovative Show. The Grand Awards’ Best Trade Show of the Year category is also open for entries.
Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. PT on July 29 to be considered. Winners will be announced at the 2022 TSE Gold 100 Awards & Summit, September 21-23, at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, California.
