IOWA – Recently event promotion company created Events Inc. announced the purchase of five well-known companies shows in Iowa: THE Eastern Iowa Home and Landscape Show, Northern Iowa Home and Landscape Show, Cedar Rapids Sports show, Eastern Iowa Sports show, And Iowa Boat, RV & Vacation Show.
The Events Inc. model, led by co-founders Michael Moore, Andy Miller and Lee Collins, offers full event execution or support in specific areas an owner needs, while creating and offering promotional services for events across the country. According to the company, Events Inc. adds events to the brand and looks to purchase existing events and create new events where there are gaps in the market.
“We are already planning and implementing new social marketing strategies and utilizing the targeting capabilities that digital has to offer to increase reach and engagement while supporting our vendors and integrating them into the social media conversation,” Moore said. “We will encourage vendors at these shows to feature the events in all of their social media posts and ads to generate exponential awareness and excitement for the events. Through vendor and sponsor partnerships, we hope to create a buzz that these shows are sure to generate.”

The Iowa-based shows join the lineup of shows already owned by Events Inc., including Monsters of Destruction and Arenacross Nationals. Events Inc. says it is working closely with the shows’ previous owners to ensure a smooth transition in 2023.
“All of these events have been around for over 25 years, and some vendors have been around for most of those years,” Moore said. “I would say that many of our vendors are excited to continue the growth of the shows after the COVID-related decline. Some vendors have also expressed concern that we may be changing the shows too much. Our goal is to keep the traditional look and feel of the shows, but to bring in bigger sponsors and celebrities to generate a larger audience and more sales for all of our vendors.”
Iowa Show Productions has been producing the Eastern Iowa Home and Landscape Show since the early 1970s when the Waterloo Convention Center was built. Iowa Show Productions President John Bunge said: “Exciting changes are coming for 2023 as Events Inc. will take over the Home Show, bringing freshness and excitement to the show.”
Collins said: “People need human interaction, our mission is to continue to entertain and inform, keeping live events relevant in a world that is trying to become digital.”
