NATIONAL PORTMd. — Following a successful inaugural event last March, three of the industry’s leading organizations will come together again next year to Power of Purpose – Business Events Industry Week 2023, which will be held from March 7 to 9 in Gaylord National Convention Center and Resort.
The second annual multi-day experience will offer several co-located programs from International destinationsTHE Professional Association of Congress Management (PCMA) and the IInternational Exhibitions and Events Association (IAEE), in collaboration with the Association of LGBT Dating Professionals.

The two days will begin with the PCMA Showcase on Wednesday, March 8. an annual one-day event for trade show organizers and meeting planners to connect with 100 destination organizations. new fashion show that evening, benefiting the PCMA Foundation and sponsored by The Palm Beaches, will feature Industry insiders walk the runway in Palm Beach-inspired looks by Lilly Pulitzer and Amanda Perna.

The IAEE Women’s Leadership Forum reception will also take place on the evening of March 8, followed by the Women’s Leadership Forum on Thursday, March 9. Destinations InternationalConvention Sales and Services SummitIt’s March 9th, and that evening, the PCMA red carpetVisionaries Awards will close the two days.
This year, a centralized registration platform has been developed for all co-located events. Additional details will be shared at IAEE Expo! Expo! 2022 and PCMA Convening Leaders 2023.
David DuBois, CMP-F, CAE, FASAE, CTA, IAEE President and CEO is optimistic about the event, as well as the outlook for trade shows in the coming year. “I “I am confident that the exhibition and events sector will continue to build on the momentum achieved over the last two years,” DuBois said. “The exact amount is impossible to determine, but I believe it will grow exponentially as more events return to full schedules and we get much closer to our pre-COVID performance levels. We are now moving from survival mode to thriving mode.”
