LAS VEGAS—Caesar Entertainment celebrates Global Wellness Day (GWD) by hosting the Caesars Global Wellness Challenge, a two-day competition hosted by Heka Health.
“Wellness is a big part of being a fun and beneficial way to engage attendees, both virtually and in person. Walking, yoga, tai chi, meditation, journaling—these can all be incorporated into a gathering,” said Reina Herschdorfer, director of marketing, National Meetings and Events for Caesars Entertainment. “Trade show planners are pulled in a lot of stressful directions. We created this program to create a sense of well-being.”
Beginning Friday, June 9 at 12:01 a.m. PT, Caesars Entertainment is launching its Caesars Global Wellness Challenge. Over the course of 48 hours, participants are encouraged to track their steps, achieve challenge goals and progress through the leaderboard until the challenge ends on Saturday, June 10 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Prizes will be awarded.
Heka Health is no stranger to the events industry. She helped the American Diabetes Association run a walking challenge at one of their events and the rest is history. She has been working with Caesars for about six years and has brought fun challenges to conferences and trade shows sponsored by MPI, IMEX, PCMA, ASAE, CEMA and ConferenceDirect.
“It contributes to the well-being of a community and helps them stay engaged,” said Tony Salah, co-founder and CEO of Heka Health. “With the interest in the events, we also realized that we could support a community all year round.”
Trade show organizers like how the app can drive people to specific booths. “We made the app gamified, so if an attendee goes to a booth to try a healthy fruit smoothie or goes to another booth and jumps rope, they’ll get extra points. The possibilities are endless,” Salah said.
