LAS VEGAS—The first edition of The Hospitality Fairorganized by the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and Questexwas a resounding success when it debuted in Las Vegas June 27-29. “The Show,” as it’s called, drew more than 3,500 attendees and 300 vendors to the Venetian Resort.
All available vendor spaces on the show floor were sold out, which is rare for a first-year event of this size and scope. The show is aimed at the entire hospitality ecosystem, with the mission of helping hotels operate more efficiently and profitably.
“What an incredible success,” said Chip Rogers, AHLA President and CEO. “More than 3,500 attendees enjoyed nearly three days of exceptional conferences, seminars, workshops, networking and the best trade show in the industry.”
“We set very high goals for the first year, and the industry responded very strongly,” Rogers said.. “The show has proven to be one of the most important events in the hospitality industry and we are delighted to continue to develop and improve it year after year.”

In addition to the trade show and networking opportunities, attendees heard from leaders from many of the world’s leading hotel companies on the main stage, including Geoff Ballotti, Chairman and CEO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts; Anthony Capuano, Chairman and CEO of Marriott International; Larry Cuculic, Chairman and CEO of BWH Hotels; Mark Hoplamazian, Chairman and CEO of Hyatt Hotels Corporation; and John Murray, Chairman and CEO of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation. Two “solution stages” focused on industry issues related to ownership, operations, emerging trends and technology, as well as a ““Spotlight Stage” featured vendor demonstrations.
“Selling out the show’s exhibitor space in its inaugural year is a remarkable achievement that motivates us to continually innovate and reimagine what’s possible,” said Alexi Khajavi, President, Questex Hospitality, Travel & Wellness Group. “Next year and beyond, the Hospitality Show will be an unforgettable event, offering unparalleled opportunities for growth, learning and networking.”
Next year, the Hospitality Show will be held October 28-30 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
