CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) has won awards and recognition at the 2023 Tabbie Awards, an international journalism competition created by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI).
The Tabbie Awards recognize excellence in trade, association and business publications worldwide.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized internationally for our coverage in TABPI’s annual Tabbies as we strive to provide the best editorial and research content to our readers. We are also grateful to our highly engaged audience and experts, because without them and their voices, we would not have such rich content,” said Gabrielle Weiss, TSE Vice President and Editor-in-Chief. “These accolades are a testament to the commitment we have to our readers and the trade show industry, as well as the hard work of the entire TSE team. Ranking second in the world for TSE Dashboard is a huge accomplishment and I congratulate Carri Jensen and her team for their hard work and this great win.”
Award-winning research
The TSE Dashboard for the December 2022 issue won the silver medal in the Department 2023 category. The Dashboard covered the strong comeback of the trade show industry in the third quarter of 2022, and analysis of key trade show indicators showed a dynamic return of trade shows and events.
The TSE Dashboard is an analysis of industry performance and is published quarterly. The study includes data tables and year-over-year show comparisons, providing highlights and averages for net square feet, number of exhibitors, total attendance and trade show attendance for a comprehensive look at show growth and the overall health of the trade show industry.
Global recognition and ranking
In the Best Single Issue of 2023: Top 25 ranking, which includes international publications, TSE’s December 2022 issue ranked 15th, with Dennis Smith, AAHOA’s vice president of business development and IAEE president, on the cover. The issue also featured a profile of Women to Watch in 2022, the TSE Research Department’s Q3 2022 Dashboard and a feature on Trends to Watch in 2023.

The article explored the importance of data collection at trade shows and how show organizers are using different technologies to personalize registration, collect attendee data, and create a more efficient registration system.
