CHICAGO — As live events and trade shows continue to rebound post-COVID, so do event venues. Introducing new exhibit venues and updates on current showsTrade Show Executive’s (TSE) Resort and Convention Center Report details the growth of all-in-one event spaces.
The 2023 report lists 262 North American exhibition venues that have a hotel in, attached, adjacent or across the street from the venue and at least 25,000 square feet (sq. ft.) of prime exhibition or multi-purpose space. All-in-one complexes, or those that house guest rooms within the facility, are highlighted in the report.
New spaces listed in the 2023 report include five venues that have completed construction since the 2022 report. Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown and Element Salt Lake City Downtown opened across from the Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center in February 2023. The Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Texas opened last May, while the Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Airport College Park and Tru by Hilton Atlanta Airport College Park opened across from the Georgia International Convention Center in August. The Fontainebleau Las Vegas won’t open until December 2023; however, it also has a new listing in the resort/convention center report.

Existing venues also have new listings in the 2023 Resort/Convention Center Report, such as the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center with nearly 1,300 rooms, 24,951 sq. ft. of premier exhibit space, 47,599 sq. ft. of meeting space and 36,745 sq. ft. of multipurpose space. Resorts World Las Vegas is another new addition to the report, featuring 3,506 rooms, 95,000 sq. ft. of premier exhibit space, 63,165 sq. ft. of meeting space and 125,197 sq. ft. of multipurpose space.
