CHICAGO — The 2023 AAPEX Show (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo), held October 31-November 2, 2023 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, served as the launching ground for CompuSystems M3 mobile app, which sets a benchmark in digital engagement and efficiency for trade shows and organizers.
For its 2023 show, the AAPEX team set goals to streamline access to exhibitor digital content, increase engagement between attendees and exhibitors, and modernize showcases of new products and packaging. With CompuSystems’ M3 mobile app, the AAPEX Show was able to exceed its goals and track valuable information for benchmarking purposes while providing an enhanced attendee experience.
Future trade shows will be able to measure the effectiveness of M3 by comparing the number and quality of leads generated before and after its use, and by using the detailed data collected on attendees, exhibitors will be able to access valuable information for targeted marketing and follow-ups.
By displaying M3 QR codes at booths, exhibitors can instantly exchange contact information with prospects and share any content directly to their smartphones. During AAPEX, 28,507 M3 scans were completed by over 4,600 attendees, and exhibitors saw a 196% increase in leads captured through the simplified delivery of digital content.
“I am proud of M3’s performance at AAPEX 2023, a milestone for the trade show industry,” said Mark LoGiurato, CEO of CompuSystems. “The product significantly increased lead generation by 196%, reduced reliance on print materials, and improved attendee engagement. These accomplishments demonstrate M3’s potential to revolutionize event experiences and set new industry standards for efficiency and sustainability. Our approach not only improves individual events, but also sets benchmarks for the future of trade shows.”
The launch even included a gamification element, with leaderboards and app tracking analytics to add competitiveness and fun to the attendee experience, which in turn boosted interaction between attendees. Another aspect of the M3 app that helped enhance the attendee experience was its flexibility, as attendees could access information whenever it suited them best throughout the event.
The implementation of the M3 app also helped reduce costs and environmental impact as it reduced the need for printing and transporting marketing materials for the approximately 600 exhibitors who used the app.
CompuSystems developed M3 to work at trade shows where the company is not the registration and lead retrieval provider, and it works at all types of shows, including consumer events where tickets are sold and there is no registration or badges.
