At the same time, an offshore wind energy exhibition was also held, further expanding the industry coverage of the exhibition and providing exhibitors and visitors with a broader platform for communication and cooperation.
Market presentation:
shipbuilding:
The Philippine government and private sector partners have also made significant efforts to attract foreign investment and further develop local shipbuilding and supply chains. Recently, major investment firms such as Cerberus Capital Operations and Austal have stated that they will seek to enter or continue to increase their investments in the Philippine shipbuilding industry. With these boosts, the local shipbuilding industry will continue to grow to become a more important part of the economy, occupying a more prominent position globally and becoming more profitable.
Shipping:
The Maritime Administration and Management Authority (MARINA) aims to fully implement its 10-year Marine Development Plan (MIDP) by 2028 to promote 100 percent growth in the Philippine maritime development industry. This will increase the industry’s contribution to the Gross National Product (GDP) from P720 billion to P1.44 trillion. The MIDP aims to increase production capacity in shipbuilding and repair; modernize maritime transportation-related technologies; and develop and expand maritime transportation and industry tourism routes.
