NEW YORK — The 45th annual New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCCC) Suppliers Dayheld May 1-2, saw record attendance in 2024, with 11,085 registrants representing 72 countries. This is an increase of nearly 8% in overall attendance over last year, and more than 35% over the event’s attendance after its first move to New York in 2017.
The show’s sold-out exhibition space Javits Center The exhibition spanned 103,000 net square feet and featured 567 exhibiting companies, including 139 new exhibitors.
Its technical and marketing training programmes were attended by 523 conference delegates, the largest audience to date. In addition, the show’s Future Chemists workshop helped inspire a record number of student participants.
“What’s excited us this year is seeing it happen and knowing that this show has now become an integral part of everyone’s marketing and sales. It’s a key part of their initiatives in the United States,” Jane McDermott, NYSCC Suppliers’ Day Show Director and Owner and President of ECMA LLC, said.
McDermott added that the industry’s post-pandemic recovery and effective collaboration with association partnerships – including a new partnership with Western Beauty Industry — helped fuel this growth, reinforcing NYSCC Suppliers’ Day as the dominant market event in the United States.

“This year, probably more than any year before, we were really able to capitalize on the fact that so much innovation was happening at our event,” McDermott shared.
In response to attendee demand for new products, a curated inspiration area has been added to the show floor. The Beauty Trends Platform BEAUTY FLOW a selection of innovative exhibitor products to highlight, including natural, effective and clean ingredients for the skin, and organic luxury.
“It allowed us to showcase our exhibitors and everyone had the opportunity to submit proposals. The pricing was very competitive,” McDermott said.
“Whether you’re the guy in a 40×40 or a 10×10, you can submit a product and you’ll have the same chance. You saw that the people who were chosen came from all walks of life… it was exciting to give them that platform.”
According to McDermott, the inaugural Inspiration Zone received excellent feedback from attendees and exhibitors, and will return and be expanded for next year’s show.
Attendee trends also helped inspire another new addition to the show: the Suppliers’ Day Ingredient Maverick Award, which was chosen by four influencers.
“That’s how a lot of our attendees are consuming information right now … and we want to make sure we’re capitalizing on that,” McDermott said. “From an exhibitor perspective, these are chemical companies. They’re not typically mentioned by influencers, so this was a huge deal for them. They were excited.”
Much like the Inspiration Zone, this feature will also return and be expanded for 2025.
NYSCC Vendor Day will return to the Javits Center June 3-4, 2025.
“It’s a very passionate group of people leading this journey… it’s been fantastic,” McDermott said.
