PCMA and the Strategic Alliance of National Convention Bureaus of Europe (SANCBE) prepare to launch Agree for the climatea sustainability conference for the global business events industry. Scheduled for October 2-3 in Barcelona, the inaugural meeting is open to select participants in a workshop-based environment and aims to foster responsibility, harness the power of technology and deliver transformative solutions to address the challenges of climate change.
The big picture: The programming hosted by Convene 4 Climate will explore three central themes – Reimagine, Inspire and Movement – and will enable meaningful discussions, collaborative problem-solving and the development of actionable strategies to help transform what the events industry offers and how it produces commercial events, according to PCMA officials.
Need to know: Situated in Barcelona Business district, the Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona is the headquarters hotel of Convene 4 Climate 2024. Steps from the Barcelona Convention Center, Diagonal Mar shopping and the marina, this beach hotel offers an on-site restaurant, a pool bar, a terrace and event venues. Participants may have the opportunity to attend a qualifying regatta during the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelonawhich will start on August 22. The America’s Cup match will start on October 12.
