Heavyweights Join EV Exchange Advisory Board

DETROIT – Top EV and energy industry leaders have been named to the EV Exchange Conference Advisory Board, and Visit Detroit and ASM Global have signed on as partner sponsors.

The brainchild of MAD Event Management and Sitarian Corporation, the Electric Vehicle + Energy Infrastructure Innovation & Sustainability Exchange (EV Exchange, or EVX) will be held at Detroit’s Huntington Place Convention Center on June 22, 2022.

President Biden’s goal of electric vehicle sales accounting for 50% of auto sales by 2030 makes this collaboration and conference vital.

The EVX Advisory Board will now welcome:

  • Benjamin Burns, Director of DTE Energy
  • Phil Jones, CEO of the Alliance for the Electrification of Transportation
  • Alex Keros, Director of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Development at General Motors
  • Robert Magee, executive director of the Detroit Engineering Society
  • Bob McClintock, Executive Vice President of Convention Centers at ASM Global
  • Claude Molinari, President and CEO, visits Detroit
  • Trevor Pawl, Mobility Manager, State of Michigan
  • Jim Saber, CEO, NextEnergy
  • Dan Scripps, chairman of the Michigan Public Service Commission
  • Laura Sherman, President of the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council
  • Tim Slusser, Chief Mobility Innovation Officer, City of Detroit Mayor’s Office
  • Glenn Stevens, General Manager, MICHAuto

This illustrious group will join the leadership teams of MAD Event Management and Siitarian to help create content and strategy for EVX.

The EV Exchange focuses on three key communities of EV and energy stakeholders: EV manufacturers and suppliers; energy, utility and other infrastructure entities needed to create a backbone for an influx of EVs; and state, local and federal regulatory and policy agencies.

“The EV Exchange conference is the first of its kind to bring together key stakeholders in the implementation of electric vehicles and mobility, including grid stakeholders, manufacturers, technology and ancillary product manufacturers such as batteries, charging stations and more,” said Martha Donato, Founder and President of MAD Event Management. “This think tank-style meeting is taking place in the automotive capital of the world, Detroit. We are receiving significant support from the city and look forward to continuing our relationship and bringing this conference to the Motor City for many years to come.”

As the heart of the American automotive industry, it is fitting that this conference is being held in Detroit.

“With electrification becoming critical to the future of the automobile, the EV Exchange is the perfect vehicle for Detroit to take center stage as a global leader in automotive innovation,” said Claude Molinari, CEO of Visit Detroit. “We are very proud to host this world-class event.”
