ECA Tommy Goodwin

“From tax reform to the development of workforce, 2025 already promises to be a central year for industry in the national capital,” said CEA vice-president Tommy Goodwin. “This is why it is essential that everyone in the industry plans to be part of the ECA legislative action day in May.”

He continued: “What is happening in Washington, DC this year, will have an impact on the industry of commercial and professional events for the years to come. The best way to have a positive impact on these results is that everyone in the industry joins us for the day of legislative action, whether you are a beginner or on Capitol Hill each year. »»

This year, the ECA public policies agenda focuses on five key areas:

  • Improve competitiveness through tax policies focused
  • Create new labor routes to ensure the competitiveness of the industry
  • Growing international trips to increase US global competitiveness
  • Take advantage of intelligent decarbonization for a long -term competitive advantage
  • Support future growth through a competitive operating environment

During this year’s day of legislative action, the main questions of concentration will be the tax reform and the development of the workforce, said Goodwin.

“These are the problems of the ECA public policy program in 2025 on which Congress has the greatest control and can cross the finish line this year, it is therefore logical to focus on them,” said -Ali said.

Collocious events

Again, ECA legislative action day will take place in collaboration with two industry events that take place this week in Washington, DC: the Exhibition and Lippman Congress Forum Connect On May 28 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, and MDG, a Freeman company, executive round table on May 27.

ECA

“Each of the ECEF leaders have a huge participation in the success of the legislative action day,” said ECEF producer Sam Lippman, president of Lippman Connect. “We are proud to be a sponsor of Platinum (of the event) and to encourage our community to participate.”

Kimberly Hardcastle, president of MDG, expressed her enthusiasm about the MDG executive round table starting a week in charge in the national capital.

“We are delighted to launch such an important week with an easier conversation on the essential role that vision plays to guide long -range events and portfolio planning,” said Hardcastle. “The day of legislative advocacy will then serve as a complement perfectly to this conversation, because industry professionals will be much more likely to achieve their vision if their elected officials work to improve the commercial environment in which we operate.”
