The 13th Vietnam Lighting Exhibition LEDTEC ASIA 2025 will be held from May 7 to 9

The 13th Vietnam International LED Lighting Technology Exhibition LEDTEC ASIA (hereinafter referred to as Vietnam Lighting Exhibition) will be held from May 7 to 9 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The exhibition is held once a year by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Ministry of Investment and Planning of Vietnam, and EXPORUM Group.

The 2025 Vietnam Lighting Exhibition LEDTEC ASIA has now become the most authoritative exhibition in Vietnam’s professional field, and its influence and popularity have been recognized by professional buyers and business organizations in ASEAN countries. In 2024, nearly 200 professional companies from 15 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, and more than 5,000 professional buyers and visitors from 25 countries and regions attended. Since 2011, due to the economic downturn in Europe and the United States, the rise in domestic labor and raw materials, major international companies have once again moved their economic focus to developing countries such as Southeast Asia to reduce product costs. At the same time, with the continuous strengthening of Vietnam’s political and economic strength, as the country with the fastest and most stable development among ASEAN countries, and the fastest increase in infrastructure construction and demand, Vietnam has once again become the focus of attention of countries around the world. Its dominant position in economy and trade has made neighboring countries and large trade groups and companies in Europe and the United States regard Vietnam as the most ideal investment focus. In such a large environment and climate, Vietnam’s lighting equipment technology, international construction, refrigeration and air conditioning and security, after careful preparation, will provide an ideal trading platform for domestic professional merchants this year.

Market Background

Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest economic growth rate in the world, with an annual GDP growth rate of 7-8% during 2011-2016. Since Vietnam became a member of the WTO, foreign direct investment in 2007-2009 has recorded US$105 billion. In 2009, the real estate industry accounted for 45.1% of the country’s FDI (about USD7.4 billion).

In 2015, Vietnam will implement zero tariffs on general products. ASEAN member countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. After joining the WTO in 2007, Vietnam promised to reduce import tariffs to an average of 13.4% by 2014. The Vietnamese government has issued a series of urbanization plans, striving to achieve an urbanization rate of 70% by 2020.

Moreover, a large amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) will flow into the real estate industry, and the demand for lighting products is expected to grow even higher. The implementation of urbanization plans and rapid economic development have greatly stimulated the demand for lighting products in Vietnam, and Vietnam’s lighting product market has entered a golden period. In 2005, the Vietnamese government (Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade-MOIT) approved the 2006-2015 national energy conservation and efficient use of energy strategic plan – “Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Plan (VNEEP)”. The VNEEP requires improving energy efficiency, reducing energy loss, and implementing a wide range of measures to save energy.
